As a 'third culture kid' of expat parents I had an interesting childhood growing up in Asia, North America and Africa before heading to boarding school. I have always had a fascination with people, what makes them who they are and how they communicate. This led to a career as a Speech and Language Therapist in London and abroad. Later I qualified as a British Sign Language Interpreter and had the chance to work with clients in a wide variety of situations in the private and public sectors.
An accident then grounded me for several months and basically turned my life upside down. It was at this point I turned to coaching and found myself inspired, enlightened, focused and determined to train as a coach myself so I could pass what I had learned on to others. Additional studies in Positive Psychology have added a whole new dimension to how I work.
Choosing to specialise in the areas of confidence, resilience and self-care is a direct result of experiences both in my personal life and career. I consider it a privilege to help people develop these areas, integrate them into their lives, and through the coaching process see them achieve the balance they desire and the life they want to live.
